Anyone seen one before?
Can't find any pictures on the web.
I picked it up years ago can't remember where, sent pix to wallen antennas but they didn't get back to me.

One thing for sure that design must have worked cause there are endless copies everywhere, good luck in the search for the provenance (lol) of this one.

Re: Modulator 2000
At least two people had the base version in my town back in the early 1990s.
They worked ok but not great, they were a legal antenna due to the loaded radiating element, and also had loaded groundplains.
There was a feature in one of the CB mags back in the day where it said that they wre made from Duralumin.
Never used the mobile one though.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.

Re: Modulator 2000
I had the modulator 2000 back when they first came out, it performed about the same as my slightly shorter wallen modulator & a little behind the longer stiffer riding bullwhip.

I had one back in the early 90's. Worked ok but don't leave it outside on the vehicle on a hot day.
Mine melted at the bottom where the 3/8 fitting meets the plastic. Bought mine new from Truck King i think. £20.
Paul.

Re: Modulator 2000
I'd be concerned about using it whilst mobile. If it was to hit a tree, It'd probably either break the casing, or worse still, kink the car's bodywork if it was mounted through the metal. Probably best kept for homebase useage, static mobile or mainly as a collector's item.
