Re: TAGRA BT-101 ??
Just after reading an old post from 14 December 2014 about Tagra antennas. The above antenna gets a good mention. Its an Astroplane. Back when I got started in cb mid 70's, these were the base antennas to aim for. Always had a great reputation.

Astroplanes seemed to do well from what I've heard about them.
I always wanted a BT-101 myself as I heard they were even better-built that the original Sigma 4. I'm willing to do a deal on my granny for one if anyone's got one in a loft or garage somewhere

Hi lads,
You probably already found this page:
https://www.tagra.net/en/product?id=376
If made with suitable ally and good elecrical+mechanical construction it should be close to a half-wave performance. Less bandwidth is the penalty for smaller size!

Re: TAGRA BT-101 ??
Just noticed, I meant to type I was after a 104 (Siggy 4 copy), not a 101 (Astroplane) oops.
There were quite a few people bought Astroplanes in the TM1 "group-buy" that Bigpimp kindly got sorted a couple of years back. There may be someone on here that's got one they'd part with, although I don't think they were Tagra-branded ones.

Theres a chap around the corner from me who has one up and he gets out quite well. Strange looking things though.

Re: TAGRA BT-101 ??
Hello There
I installed an Tagra BT-101 this year in April. This antenna replaces a 1/2 wave sirio that I used for almost twenty years.
This antenna works very well, little interference and a very good performance on the 11 meter band. It is the faithful copy of the Avanti Astroplane that I had known when I first hit the airwaves around 1980.
When I am not operating my station, the antenna is connected to my online KiwiSDR receiver.
In addition in reception it works perfectly from 0 to 30 MHz, the reception of amateur bands is rather very good with a good signal-to-noise ratio.
