Need help choosing radio

Post by Bomer192 »

Hey
I am looking for 12 radios for trips and outdoor use for a youth movment, I think that the maximum distance between two radios will be 3km.

I have thought on buying the baofang bf-888s.
What do you think about it? I am open for other suggestions...

Also I would like to mention that I live in israel and i would like to make sure it can be leagaly used.

The Baofang BF-888s are excellent radios, good battery life and work very well in general and are super cheap. I'd recommend buying the longer dualband nagoya antennas which greatly improves both receive and transmit on these radios.

You would need to check the radio frequencies in your country to find out what frequencies can be used legally.
