The Alan 87 is just another rebadged 3900 . What is it that's broken . The plastic knob , or the actual VR ? If it's just the VR then one from a Cobra/SS will work fine . If it's the plastic knobs then they'll be harder to source .

So it's just your standard Uniden on/off volume/squelch control . I have a couple kicking about , but I'm away from home at the moment . I'm sure someone else will have one . Ask in the wanted section , or maybe send Nick a PM . I'm sure he'll have a few as well .

Unfortunately i don't have any and they are getting difficult to get [For me anyway] I did see some on eBay a little while back but they were almost £15 with postage but i cannot seem to find any now unless its my poor searching phrases.

As sammy suggested try the wanted section as someone may have a scrap 360/148/3900/JFK/Chaser etc.

What happened to the control anyway . Did it snap off ? There's not much to them . A lot of the time they're repairable .

There's one that might work here .

This might be a newer type . I don't know . It's definitely a double control with a switch . Send them an email and ask them .

To be honest for €20+ for a switch I'd be looking at buying a scrap JFK , or similar as Nick suggested . Take the switch you need off it and then sell it on for parts .

I cant remember what they look like but once removed from the PCB see if its the same length as the regular one and you should be able to solder the wires too it.
