Making HF Di-Pole/Daublet

Post by Allan666 »

Althoe I use a full size G5RV. ( main wire aerial ) I do experiment with other wire aerials............I have 66 feet of wire from one end of garden and another 66 feet going the other way. So 132 feet fed in the center to a plastic Di-Pole center in the middle....On the eves of my bunglow I have a 4-1 Balun fed with 50ohm coax... I am going from the 4-1 balun to the DI-Pole center with 300 ohm ribbon...

My Question is there a specific lengh of ribbon from the balun to the center of the Di-pole ?? Or can I just I use any odd lengh of ribbon..I will be using the wire aerial from 80m upwards..??
If the problen cant be sorted with a "LUMP-HAMMER" then its most likely to be an Electrical fault
