As the title says.
What's up with 80Mtr lately?
For about a week now the whole 80Mtr band has been as quiet as hell even the static is way way down in the S meter (big fat 0) as well as in volume and I can usually always hear static on 80.
I like listening to the guys on 3.701 when I am going sleep talking about anything from Radio, Antennas, Motor Bikes, Railways I find the guys on that frequency fascinating BUT.
I can't hear diddley squat on 80 for the last week or so well since just after christmas and it's not my radio I have 3 analogues in the bedroom on a homebrew mag loop and I also have an SDR on a long wire round my ceiling and I can't hear anything on any of the radios on 80 apart from a few very distant sounding morse carriers and if I am lucky a few very distant sounding (back of the box) Germans and the Germans usually BOOM in.
What's up with the band
Anyone know whats up with 80mtr

Conditions, sun activity, weather & GCHQ jamming.
All that sort of stuff.
Listening to 1.933 has been bad too.

80 Mtrs has been alive and well for me. May be you should check your antenna hasn't blown away
I will not be commanded, I will not be controlled.
