I have the above radio with no TX or RX and need the schematic for the PTSY026A0X board, if anyone has a copy I'd appreciate it very much.
I've changed the AVR transistor on the 059 board and have had it TXing but it's very intermittent, the crystals are all reading at their TP's and the PLL has been changed for one that I know to work.
When it does TX there's no transmitted audio with it and still no RX at all or meter movement even with a radio at the side of it. I checked the two RX protection diodes and Q20,21 and 23 as well as the RX tuning coils to see if there was maybe one of them OC but so far I've found nothing faulty other that the AVR tranny.
I also changed C11 560p known to go faulty and give exactly the same fault.
This radio has been to another rig doctor before I got it, so god knows what's been done to it if anything.
There was a note with it that said the audio chip may have been damaged but if he'd switched it to PA he would have found out it does work.
Forgot to say when it's switched into TX both the driver and final are being switched on at the base pins even when they don't put any power out.

Re: MAJOR M360 PTSY016AOX schematic
Finding the M360 diagram is quite hard as the results are always the PTBM059 MM11 or M588 which as you know are slightly incorrect, Even the Lafayette 1200FM diagram [which is identical to the M360] is always the MMII version diagram.
I have a M588 that had no RX/TX and it was the 10v zener D50 next to the regulator gone short, Check the regulator Q44 and the zener and also check the coil L19 as sometimes this pops too.
Also check the 5.5v zener beside the PLL.

That's the problem I'm having Nick, so thought I'd ask just in case someone does have a copy.
I've already checked all the parts you've mention and lot's more that's what's getting to me, I can't find anything that's not as it should be.

Have you given the green VCO block thingy a wiggle?

That was the second thing I changed Mattylad.
The iron dust core was cracked and jammed so I just fitted one that works but I do have a twiddling stick that fits perfect in it anyway.

Don't they have an RX/TX relay in them things? you could give that a few whacks with the butt end of a screwdriver.

No there's no relay switching in this one.
I've just replaced the VCO for another and it's TXing again but that's what happened the last time I changed the VCO and it worked for a about a day but at least it TX's audio now but still no RX at all.
