Dolphin Tetra handsets, any use?
Firstly, let me say that I know bugger all about Tetra or digital stuff.
Just got a couple of Motorola D1700 Dolphin handsets as freebies.
Most freebies are usually junk or cursed.
Are they usable in any way, shape or form?
Is it worth me buying a charger for them or do they need to go in the bin?

Re: Dolphin Tetra handsets, any use?
I believe they can be converted to work in Dmo (back to back) with a firmware upgrade,
Pm nokiaman2002 if you are interested in a price to do it.

Still in the drawer, just wondering if it was worth the eBay fees or whether to bin them, no use to me, way off of my spectrum.

Yea it was last year, I'm sure it was due to the fact they operate in a section of the band already allocated elsewheresec1223 wrote:i355's being taken off ebay?..

There was a reason given by ofcom to someone on here when it happened.

Re: Dolphin Tetra handsets, any use?
If they are ex dolphin, they'll cover something like 410 - 430MHz (ish).Admiral wrote:Still in the drawer, just wondering if it was worth the eBay fees or whether to bin them, no use to me, way off of my spectrum.
