I have an Icom IC-F1010 and looking for the programming software for it, as there is a few channels I need to add. I can get the cable just need the software.

need help again lol, the cable I got to programme my F1010 is USB, but the com ports on the software say serial, i have tried changing the ports but still don't wont do ought, is there anything else I need to do or just get a serial cable.

I just re programmed my F-1010 today. I use a PC with a proper serial port. USB to serial adaptors can be a problem.
If you need a circuit for the interface let me know but you will have to give me a couple of day's to dig it out.

Cheers for that but have tried that and the software wont connect to the radio, it wont read it, I have a USB cable to it and when it tries to read it i get a message saying something about a com port

That radio will be the vhf version of the 2010 in which case the software is DOS only and wont connect from a usb port and you will have to boot up from DOS (not a dos window).I tried to program a 2010 for a local guy but wasnt given the correct cable.

I have received a program for this radio with cable in USB but it dos not work if it is possible a copy of the program so that I can set up a pc in dos with serial port and I also need the wiring diagram from the serial connector to the microphone connector thank you for your time Alfredo.
