well i've looked and apart from the design of the base coil there is no difference.
so what is the difference, i have one of each (both cost me £10 with bases)
i bought a hi-power the other day for my van, as i already have a megawatt which i found pretty good, but now i'm wondering what is the difference ??
Sirio megawatt 4000 and Hi-power 4000 differences ?

Dont think there is any (apart from appearance).
The only way (apart from dismantling them) is to try them as in find a weak QSO then swap aerials on your van and see if the signal alters.

Yeah I know, old thread.
But I have the highpower 4000 and watching this video I happened to notice the megawatt.
According to knights "Exactly the same specs as the Hypower 4000 but with a slightly different loading coil."
Although the megawatt is reduced ATM so £5 cheaper lol.
So a bit more info if a search brings this thread up
