Closecall captured the following yesterday evening: 197.8500 NFM
Seemed abit strange at first, as it didn't really fit in with any of the allocated PMR bands, but after a brief google, turns out that National Rail have a number of channels in this part of the spectrum.
The above is the RX with the base on: 205.8500 MHz
Although its an MPT1327 system, there is no Control Channel...
and no 'Clear Down' after each call...
The system is also connected to the landline, i've heard a few telephones ringing...
According to the Internet resource, mobile links are in Signal Box's, Vehicle's and in Trains... (yet to confirm, ive heard vehicle comm's and links to signal box's via landline)
Still a new one for me, only heard afew TX's since i started monitoring yesterday...
also not sure how localized the system is...
If anyone else knows anything about these systems, feel free to fill me in
Cheers...
