This old PSU is still going strong 10 years later. I've fitted a fuse box on top of it and it's running my radio and amp

Good PSUs go on many years if you are lucky.
What I find interesting is that many PC motherboards die with the dreaded capacitor issues. Yet these capacitors, unlike those in a PSU, have a very low demand, low ripple current and stable operating voltage compared to those in a PSU. Yet more often that not the PSU outlasts the motherboard.

That's actually the floor PSU lives on the floor under the desk. Just hooked up the meter to check voltage was still good under load
