27.555 has always been a international calling frequency along with the now less used 26.285 , you make a call and qsy and have your dx or local chat but dimwits choose to sit and talk on it and spoil it for others.

There's a Facebook group "26MHz CB Radio" which promotes the use of 26.285 USB (The old super low calling channel).

But due to CODAR interference on that frequency they also have a group calling frequency on 26.385 USB

26MHz can be very interesting with some amazing DX contacts being made and you can get away from the madness on triple 5.

I swear it's getting worse. It seams like everytime I turn it on theres what sounds like drunken Russian music playing again. I have had a guts full now. Yeah 26.285 can be good but it just seams dead all the time {bnghd}

Got to say I am about ready for a clear out and keeping a few rigs, mental cases are fkin the lot up a lately and not just on CB it's rife everywhere, I need a new pastime :lol:
