What's this for?

Hi all.

I don't know if this board with the 3 crystals on is normally found inside an Intek1200 / Lafayette1200 / Cobra150 SSB radio, but the adjustable wheel and 2 wires going to it through the cases is definitely not.

What do you think this could be for? Tweaking the TX frequencies, or more range on the RX in case the fine tune doesn't go far enough???:

More including a pic of some components covered in masking tape on solder side, not connected to board or wheel though.

Oooo...thanks again Claude. I wonder what adjustment it gives one way/each way? It looks like I might have to take my Excalibur, co-ax and shelving apart to access my frequency counter that's wired up to it, just to find out what shift it allows.
