Some right sneaky snakes out there and almost every seems to tag their sales with ‘no returns due to screwdriver experts’

Unless the stuff I am selling is spares or repair, I’ll accept returns if something is wrong or not as described. Because thats a reasonable thing to do

Mind you, I do security mark the chassis so I know if its been opened or not if returned.
The Grant 2's aren't an old radio in the scheme of things. But some of those that have been for sale on ebay are in a dire state, like this one for example. Seller claims it's not been wide banded. So why would there be both case screws missing from the back of the radio? And why would they remove the serial number sticker?

Nice dent on the top case too. So it's either been dropped or something heavy has fallen onto it. For me it's definitely a radio to avoid.

Never, ever, ever....bloody anything ever!

Far too many radio's to list here. But I do own a legal one...

I prefer the look of the Grant if honest and if I could have found one new at a decent price it would have been my radio of choice for sure.

That said, if I found a G2 Premium from a known/reputable seller I would have been interested, but everything I have seen has either been silly money or of dubious description.

You have a shack bursting at the seams with ham gear craig. Why bother with a purpose build CB ? Get one of your big gun radios unlocked

Because I try to stay legal these days..... you never know when some ned off the internet will dob you in. And yes, I know the chances of getting caught are slim, but if I did, and I did then all this lovely ham gear my shack is bursting at the seams with could potentially be confiscated, why risk my investment?

Each to their own, but that's my take on my own situation

Good point. But its strange that these days everybody wants to keep on the legal side of CB When the chances of ofcom knocking on your door is highly unlikely. Yet 30 years ago when the DTI Were out looking for law breakers nobody seemed to bother about the legal side of things

If I had a battered old side bander and a boot worth about £100 all in, I may not give a crap, but when a new 7300 costs £1200 you start to consider these things.....

Hence my new found interest in legal 11m kit. 11m with only 12w seems like a challenge anyways, still fun to be had. 👍
