The 3900 arrived - I think I know why it was so cheap - Intermittent audio. Found a resistor in the mic circuit which was not soldered properly. It's an ept360015c red display radio. It was miles off frequency so I've done a quick alignment, disconnected the bleep and changed the ch9 switch to a +10khz switch. Drifts a bit from cold but after 15 mins it's quite stable. Overall for what I paid I'm happy with it.

I didn't think it was too bad for £80 inc post. Came with the original mic and leads. Still had the plastic on the cases.

That's a very fair price considering what they go for on eBay.

Another 360fm from France - Bit of a gamble but the fascia looks good and the price was right.
We will see when it arrives.

Bought a Superstar-branded (same as Extreme) CRT 2018 power mic' with echo controls/talk back/double-talk/reverb/stadium sounds, blah de blah. For just £12 I thought it might be worth a look at, or should I say a listen to for that much.

I was considering that myself, but was wary due to the fault it has. In the end I decided not to go for it. Hopefully it will be an easy fix and you'll have hours of fun!

Crusader wrote: 08 Jan 2019, 14:52 Hi guys, well my goodies that i bought off Ebay for £48 posted finally arrived today, here are my findings :) ...

Belcom LS-102: Perfect working order, has had a 3 position band switch fitted also the send/receive switch selects x2 ranges 24/25/26 Mhz & 27/28/29 Mhz,so coverage is 24-30Mhz,the output power starts to drop off below 10w from 24.750 Mhz downwards but at least it can be used the 12m Amateur band as well as on 10m,output power up on 27-28 Mhz about 15w PEP.

Harrier: This has cleaned up nicely, was just some gunky glue residue along the top of the front fascia, this easily came off with a good clean, also it gave me a pleasant surprise as it has had mid band fitted to it on the Hi-Low power switch on the rear of the set, works blob on.

Formac 88: This is boxed & looks like new, works perfect,80 channel mid & high band AM set, power output is 8w on a dead key & a when i whistle in to the mike it is peaking at about 18w.

Think it is safe to say i am more than happy with this haul :D

Well that is the Formac 88 sold for £28 & the Harrier for £26 so the Belcom LS-102 is a total Freebie :D
