MCA use Vodapage when the coverage on Chan 0 is poor.
A number of Channel 0 paging repeaters have been fitted but in some areas Vodapage is the only option.

Flex & Pocsag Baud rate for Fire is 512 on 138.075
Some Page One on 153 are Flex only but variable data rate.

Hi

So if I had a pager that runs off the 147.800mhz I would be able to pick up the local station to me?
That easy?

Hi

So to pick up local fire call you just need a pager on the 147.800freq?

Can confirm, in my part of the country, 147.8 works for fire. Seeing a lot of different ric codes though, will take me a while to work out what's what.

Which part of the country are you in? I'm in London but I haven't heard anything on that frequency still and I have left the radio on since my last post.

Haven't listened for a couple of years but yes, they were.
my friend grafter, seems like you are using a very offensive tone in the reply.

So what's with the foreign pager data? The last time I decoded pager data it all looked like sitreps from German ambulances, etc. I can't remember the exact freqs but it was definitely VHF, and really strong signals. I wonder if these signals get repeated all over Europe, and if so, why?

Not repeated 'all over Europe'. Don't recall seeing anything that looked German or French on any of the UK National pager allocations
