Has anyone used a mobile Hf antenna as a temp homebase ?
I'm having my roof repaired by the end of the summer so not a lot of point in installing a permanent antenna .
I can get hold of one of those multi band mobile antennas I have no idea how well they work .
I can Chuck this onto my shed which is 16x9 foot with a corrugated roof , would it work temporary?

I would use a "random wire" or an end fed out of the window to a tree or pole if thats an option.

Have you considered wrapping a length of wire (say about 20m worth) around a 7 or 10m GRP fishing pole like a SOTA pole.
tune that up against a counterpoise wire draped across the garden
very cheap
