Kenwood TS-570D

Does anybody know how to get HRD to work with the 570D? I've tried a both a straight through and a null modem both to no success. I've also tried all different baud rates In HRD and Radio Menu and all CTS, RTS configurations Version is 5.24.0.38 (Because I'm a tight-wad )

Got mine working with a 570D..

Check com port
Check driver

mine is set like this..
96-1 for Communication Parameter (35 in menu)
CTS and RTS both ticked.
Com Port 3 (Driver is Silicon Laboratories - USB Root Hub)

What OS are you using?

Also I had an issue using a USB to serial cable as the chip of the cable wasn't compatible with the version of windows I was using.

Windows Feckin' 10 and its a nightmare, though had the same problem with Win 7. I should mention I am using an actual RS232 Port off the back of the PC and not a USB to Serial.

I'm on Windows 7 through the USB.
Don't know about settings and stuff for a serial cable.

Try baud rate 4800 , coming up a few times when i searched 570D HRD serial cable .

When connecting it from RIG to adapter did you use a standard serial cable or a Null Modem cable?

I'm just using this with no interface or anything betweeen radio and computer..

just found this, it might help..

I assume you have the TS570 serial port configured. Menu #35, I use the 38400bps setting (384-1).
Press MENU again to exit, power down the 570 and restart it.

PC: Verify the COM port you are using is setup properly in Windows/ControlPanel/Device Manager properties: COM#1 (do you have a serial port available?) Otherwise if only USB, you will need to do
the USB/Serial adapter cable route.

PORT SETTINGS: 38400,8,NONE,1 FLOW=NONE

Start HRD, Select CONNECT and make a New Connection, select Brand and Model of transceiver,
COM1 or the serial COM port you previously configured in Windows device manager.

SPEED= 38400
CTS= check mark
RTS= check mark
DTR= blank
