Large building fire in progress in Rawdon in Leeds, freqs currently in use are 457.0375mhz and 457.1875mhz
looks like the Airedale air condition factory well alight smoke can been seen fore miles.

What's reception like is it good?

It was just on the local news saying its going to go on all night, the command unit its blasting out on 457.0375 this seems to be the control ch, most of the replies to it are audible. the other freqs are the pumping team down by the Leeds Liverpool canal and the other freqs seem to be in use by several users on the fireground.

if ur that close you will have good comms

no not that close lol but not too far away but the comms have been end stopping on all frequencies used, noticed now tho theys more activity on the 0375mhz channel as they asking to knock some pumps off whilst some of them pack up & ship off

yeah one pump that is feeding another has to go so it all stops, they are packing up slowly now,looks like Airedale is a right off, my friends dad works there so they may be out of jobs.
BTW i am just up near Thornbury barracks.

Well tucked up in bed now with the handy on still tuned in on the comms & still abit of activity which is all interesting....our lass might of said difo if she wasn't working so its good company for me I guess listening to the comms as well as abit of rocky :-)

Not too far then lol bet we would be able to work simplex where that close!! Ya nice & high up in thornbury a nice take off in most directions :-)

Sad news about your friend that works they tell him to keep his chin up pal tho I was more curious about the ptz cams they have on the building up they as the look belters the do :-)

snap on the handi in bed thing lol. they find out monday what will happen, apparntly the alarm was set off at 2.30pm but fire service was not called untill 2.51pm. I have just seen a photo from inside the main factory and office part and its completely gutted! what are ptz cams ?

They security cams on the outside of the building they are ptz dome cams, Providing they not fire damaged they'll be worth a bob or too

Just listening give or take 5 mins back & they having to smash brick walls down & they was talk about fire still been on the 1st floor if I heard correctly

NEW FIRE Ground Channel 21

Need some help with this FIRE Ground channel.

When out yesterday they said to turn from channel 1 to channels 21, so scan around and pick them up on 457.631.25 which is Fire Ground 21.

I was at junction on M18 and M180 and was 5/9 but there was moto on the side So unsure if the channel/VFO it on

457.631.25 or it could be 457.6375 or 457.625

Any help I would be grateful please not there is moto on the side to but the fire ground was over the top of it

I was in leeds the other day coming out of the train station and saw the Majestyk with firefighters all round it so I thought I'd give a listen to them on the radio there still using the fireground ones to this date thought they would of moved to airwave by now
