this seems to work fine as I'm using the 30 day trial, runs all Uniden radio's apparently but have read that getting key can be hit and miss affair. Anyone care to share??

Yes, the 30 day free trial is so that you can make sure it is compatible with your radio(s), ensure that you can use it with ease, and ensure that it does exactly (or near enough) what you want it to.
Once all this is established, you are then required to purchase a licence to use the software, this is to help pay the software writers mortgage and enable them to support and improve the product for your benefit.
If you're asking for a hooky code to use the software for free, then you are missing the point.

Not missing the point but have sent 2 mails so far and had no reply, not sure I want to part with cash when comms seem to be an issue. Not to worry though i'll try again.
