Just bought these for ?49.99 in Argos for a pair. Did a quick review of distance (car to house) in the South Wales Valleys and managed to get about an eighth of a mile!

That said the sound quality is awesome! Will be trying them out on the road soon (car to car and bike to car) along with "mountain" use in the open

Will keep you all updated!

Ive been heard 12 miles away on these handhelds. Atleast i think it was. The one with the orange display.

Anyway remember UHF is very much line of sight.

Is the number in the channel display correct - it really shouldn't be!

They're pictures of the FRS/GMRS versions, it's what you get if you google for the images. ;-)

It seems to be the US version; I believe they have 22 channels. Mine are the8 channel with 38 sub-channel version!

ihave them too
they are really good ive had them for a year now still working well

afew scratches on them tho and on of the handsets buttons wel the writing has worn off

only thing i dont like is the earpices you get with them lol really uncomfy and cheap looking

im going to buy a pair of moto radios they are similar in looks to these but theyre 9km in range
