Aviation Headsets for Ham Radio
I have just managed to successfully connect an aviation type headset to my ft-897, quite easy tbh.., a couple of caps to decouple the dc from the mic line and all is well.. I pinched the schematic below from a google search,.
...the only changes I have made is the up / down buttons to control the radio..,.
super rx audio... the next few days will tell if the tx audio is also ok..

Those aviation type headsets did you pick them up cheap in the last 10 days or so?
Nice, may look out for them.

Fleabay... in the last week, david clark are the best but they are all similar,
This started with complaints from family members about 3am radio sessions lol. .. so headphones were required... i spotted a pair offshore and had a play in the radio room with them, totally block out all noise (designed for helicopters, also have the added bonus of silence from the wife), the mic needs power but the schematic above works fine.
Quite happy so far..

Was searching for Some nice new Headphones to go with my PONO http://www.ponomusic.com/#message
And I thought about Bose, good choice in there but I nearly spat my Jammy Doger all over the screen when I saw these http://www.bose.co.uk/GB/en/home-and-pe ... n-headset/
