QSL cards

Post by PapaAlpha »

Hello CB friends,

Recently I rent a P.O.Box at the post office in my town for my QSL post.
But....I have talked to many stations, but no one is using QSL cards anymore!!
Or is it coincidence that I just choose those stations who do not use QSL cards #-o

73's, Harry.

CB Station Papa Alpha
P.O.Box 2196
7420 AD Deventer
the Netherlands.

Spot on stalker! Theres nothing better than checking the PO Box or
getting a proper QSL card as a surprise in the mail.

eQSL is all well and good, saves a lot of money and is pretty much instant.
But its great to receive a proper QSL Card, written out and maybe
a couple of postcards in the envelope with a little circle outlining the persons QTH.
Just a bit more personal isnt it, and nice to get the blue-tack out for the shack wall.

I'd like to think that the decline in QSLing is down to the fact that we're pretty much
at the bottom of the cycle for now, so as would be expected, QSO's are down and so are QSL's.

Maybe in a couple of years when the bands pick up and people who havnt been heard for years
start coming back out of the woodwork, the exchange of QSL's will return?
Or Harry could be right, in regards to, since the last sunspot high when QSL's where
being sent around the world like mad, things have moved on and eQSL is the way to go.

Lets hope its not so, long live the old skool QSL :)
