My radio doesn't display the 'dot' so 12.121. reads as 12121...It can get confusing!

Re: 12121 spy numbers?
It is possible that it could be on of the very few number stations that still transmits these days
Did a quick google search and came up with this posting from 2011 on another forum it is possible it is a Cuban Numbers Station.

Received that station earlier in the year, http://nerdsville.blogspot.co.uk/2013/0 ... -hm01.html has a sample of what I heard on it, but I understand it quite often changes its format.grahamwilman01 wrote:It is possible that it could be on of the very few number stations that still transmits these days

Re: 12121 spy numbers?
That's correct if the units are kHz... 12.121 kHz would be VLF - submarine communications, radio-navigation etc. Incredibly large antennas and very little bandwidth. No chance of voice comms there.pickle wrote:12.121khz

12.121 MHz, or 12121 kHz, is smack bang in the middle of the HF or shortwave band and is somewhere where you may well hear a 'numbers station'.
Who knows?

Sound was quite similar to that one, except every now and then the voice would stop and there would then be tones.
Its intriguing, what were they saying though I will never know

Heard this station last week when I was testing out a new HF receiver that I have just acquired. Seemed to read out so many numbers then you got the tones which sounded very much like some sort of data transmission.

The numbers are useless without the one time pad. An ingeneous system

Just caught the E11 station on 15632 kHz.
Just repeated "two two eight Oblique zero zero" over and over for 3 minutes.

I think 3 or 4 zeros means there is no message for the recipientmattltm wrote:Just caught the E11 station on 15632 kHz.
