Bluetooth adaptor

Post by NoiseBoy »

Im looking for a standalone bluetooth module that will connect to a bluetooth headset with an audio in and out. I dont mind modifying but has to be cheap. So i can try using my helmet intercom with the radio.

I was trying to find the Jabra A210 but it doesnt seem to exist in the UK, its what the americans are using

Any ideas?

I got mine off ebay, however the batteries in them dont last very long I found i was forever charging it up,and the casing easily came apart so needed to be taped up. although when it worked i got excellent audio reports. I also modified the blue tooth earpiece I had and added a long boom arm with electret mic at the end. much less wind noise.

Found some on link below

I will probably wire the whole thing up to take power from the bike. Easier that way.

Looking for something identical to that but like i say you cant buy them for love nor money.

Hmm Wonder if one of the later models uses the same printed circuit board, maybe you could rewire it?
I would be happy to take a photo of the insides of my unit for you to compare.
Just let me know. The main problem with bluetooth headsets under a fullface helmet is after a while your ear starts to hurt.
Although I believe that some helmets now come with the foam cut out for a bluetooth head set, Im sure I saw one a while back.

Anyway I hope you manage to find one or something suitable. let me know if you need any pictures etc.

Cheers

If u are still looking - i found this:

http://www.maas-elektronik.com/Bluetoot ... ete.1.html

At the mikrophone u can connect an aditional earpiece or so.
The transceiversite equipment has factory default connectors, but u can
take anyone, thats availiable, and adapt it to ur needs...

There are zwo different sets: low and high power. the hp-set works here til inside
the neighbours house - 30 meters away.
