Well so much for the spring, it's snowing here as I type this! Never mind download the latest (April 2019) edition of Radio User and curl up in front of the fire:

https://magazinelib.com/?s=radio+user

Not a member of the RSGB?, don't worry, you can still read the house comic - RADCOM - well some of the latest ones at least free of charge:

https://magazinelib.com/?s=radcom

Just click on the cover picture for each issue and then on the pdf link.

Happy reading folks!!!

just in case you haven't spotted it yet, the May 2019 Practical Wireless is available to view and download free of charge. Here is the link:

https://magazinelib.com/all/practical-w ... -may-2019/

I don't think this mag is as good as it was but still worth a read I think, especially at this price!!

I don't blame you.
Waste of money.

I'd rather read all the old mags from well known sources.

I see that http://www.electronicsandbooks.com/ has been down for a week or so.

It sometimes goes down, presume there's a bandwidth issue and he runs out.

I think it resets at the start of the month (hopefully).

Amongst those are a significant number of back-catalogued Ham/Radio-related publications. I have detailed a few of them, but there are also some more 'specialist publications' available, should you want to look for them

What a great read.

G3OJV's mugshot always shows him like he's straining to have a good ****, meanwhile there's a 2 page Advertorial dressed up to look like an real
article for Nevada.

Never mind Xmas is coming, so it must be time for another 5 page feature length production about how to solder PL259's to a piece of coax.

I haven't read it yet, it's funny, if you can download something there doesn't seem to be the urgency to read it, at least that's how I feel.

There is something satisfying about the 'ritual' of checking the date and then going into WH Smiths on the way home from work, searching for it on the shelves, standing in a Q to pay for it and reading it on the bus when in a traffic jam and all the while someone is farting and coughing all over you, especially in the dark winter months when the bus becomes the 'virus van'.

I think this is also the reason why vinyl hasn't died, there is a great 'ritual' there to get music going, and of course a 12 inch album cover is the perfect 'lap table' on which to roll a joint, a CD case just never made it in that respect and the back of your i-phone is even worse.
