Gave it an air on the northwest net last night .
Initially the mixer crystal was ever so slightly off , but tweaked it in by ear.

Spot on now.

Next job is to build a little two tone oscillator and rf sampler just to make sure its operating linearly

A few 150's have appeared on ebay from the same seller. I'm watching the one he has with the UK40 in it for the car. Bet it goes over my £25 limit though ;)

Edit, he did have 3, now has just 1 as it looks like he messed up the ad's and only had 1 for sale.

Update on this . A lot has gone on since then. Mad crow flu has given me the kick up the backside I needed to majorly sort the shack out so it doubles up as an office (assuming I dont get distracted by radio)

I did get the radio tidy and working, and used it a few times on one of the local nets

Ive also picked up an old Rohde and Schwarz SMDU comms test set.

Had a play last night checking the radio out. Receive is fine but low tx output on high band, to be fair I havent even loooked at aligning it

Did a few videos

Ive also got rid of my icom 7000, far too many menus, replace with old Yaesu sets, fully loaded FT-736, fully loaded FT-767, and also a really rare Sommerkamp FT-767DX, which is the export version of the FT-707

What do you think the Cobra’s worth if put up for sale on here ?
