Superstar 3900N Dimmer sensor

Post by 13EL121 »

Hi friends,

Looking for a replacement part of the auto dimmer sensor of a Superstar 3900N.

Is it a photodiode or a Transistor? No schematic found anywhere.

Thanks and 73,
Ralf

Problem fixed. The sensor is a phototransistor. But I set a 500k potentiometer in parallel to the PT to adjust the dimming level.

Ordered this phototransistor,

Maybe there are better types, but it works.
