President Lincoln 1 Squelch problem

Hi guys,

my Lincoln 1 has a strange problem with squelch.
When radio is on and tune it on squelch, it stays in squelch even if you turn the knob back.
Only thing to put it "out of squelch" is to switch radio off and on again.

Adjusting VR102 does not solve this issue.
Anybody an idea? Leaking capacitors maybe?

Thanks! Ton

I am presently working on a Lincoln v1 right now. It has a few problems including a similar odd behavior with the squelch as well. First step, replace ALL electrolytics and then start troubleshooting. I'm half way through and when I get them all replaced I'll post my results.

I have some notes from back in the day for the same fault, Can remember the fault was intermittent on mine so as Mike says maybe electrolytics drying up ? There are two to check in my list, either way id replace them anyway :
