President Randy Handheld

Post by sickboy »

I've got one of these and it does the 40 EU channels am/fm. Does anyone know if it can be set to UK?
I found a webpage with options for giving it 400 channels etc but nothing mentioning UK operation (It was a Norwegian site though).
Any help greatly appreciated.

P.S. it's a President Randy, not to be confused with the Randy II

hello
looking at that truth table in picture
i wouldnt give up so fast

quickest way ive done this by adding toggle switches wired to pads, you can then cycle through all combination
in a binary way
wonder if 1234 may also hold hope?

ie
8421
5678
0001
0010
0011
0100
a lots of these masked u Processors did have UK channels embedded in code of chip
worth a go if keen.
Best of Luck

Just buy a cheap Realistic TRC-1013/14, Maycom or similar.

I bought my boxed 1013 40ch UK for a tenner a few years ago, but it sold on ebay before Christmas for £50 so prices may have gone up for compact handhelds recently!

Just noticed your reply there Rob, thanks for the info but I've moved it on now unfortunately. Maybe the new owner will see your post and sort it out though :)
