Hi all,
While removing an old eprom's wiring I seem to have unsoldered one end of the switch that locks the rig to mid band.
The one end is still attached to the hi/low switch for the band selection A,B,C/D,E,F but not sure where the other end goes. It must be from somewhere near the sockets at the front, as that was where I was removing the wires for the coarse clarifier and a ground from the old eprom switching
I've tried to wok it out from a schematic, but i'm stuck... literally... on mid band.
Any info/advice greatly received
Cheers

Re: ss3900 old style mid band/export switch wiring
Thanks for the photos Claude. I'm having a bit of difficulty following where the other end of the wire from the bottom of the hi/low band switch goes in your pictures though.
I'm fairly certain that my loose wire (It's red and comes from the toggle switch inside the case that locks the rig to mid) was connected to the solder side of the board at the front. You wouldn't happen to have any photos of that side would you?
I'm assuming it's just 8v or ground or something which goes into the band hi/low switch which is disconnected by the toggle switch when the rig was sold to lock it in mid?? I don't want to start randomly poking it around though in case I fry something.
Cheers

Re: ss3900 old style mid band/export switch wiring
Thanks guys, I'll take a closer look at all the info above tomorrow to try to work it out.
Seems there are so many slight variations of the same rig.. mine being the 3 way band rotary switch with high/low toggle, and the 40/240Ch (Mid/Export) switch has only 2 wires, one of which goes to the High/Low toggle switch and not the channel selector switch directly so will need to trace it all out.
I'll get there though
Cheers
