Here i have posted a link to a small problem i have..in the pic i have the same problem with my radio one end of the white/grey wire is not connected to anywere please can anyone help as to were it might go ?

Dont think there is one... i would just like to know were this wire should be connected as it seem odd that it is off.

Does the SWR meter work ? I remember working on a swr related fault on a 3900 and there's a track that runs all the way from the back of the radio to the JXXX connector at the front . Might be for that . I'm sure Claude will have a picture kicking about somewhere .

That white wire suppose to work as power adjust on SSB, but it ruins SSB signal. First thing is to remove that when you open radio.

Don't think I've ever seen adjustable SSB power on an EPT36001XX board ? Only AM/FM .

I'm not home , so I can't check any of my 14B boards , but I've never seen it before . So the radios that have the cable have variable SSB power , but no variable AM/FM power ? Very weird .
