Uniden 100 stuck in tx

Post by Classic »

Hi there anyone shed some light on what this could be ? I was given this radio a few years back and it's stuck in tx also the meter lamp isn't working not sure if that is anything to do with it ? It's nothing to do with the mic as it does it without a microphone plugged in.

Another cause could be a shorted cap on the mic socket

Put up a picture of the meter, I've got a bagful of CB signal meters there might be one amongst them.

The signal meter on these is the upside down type where the needle comes up from underneath the meter, and they can be hard to find.

Needs to come from another Uniden 100 or an Audioline 340 I think. I cannot think of any other radios which use them off of the top of my head.

There is no such thing as a Fidelity 1000 which is too good to scrap.
