Any ideas what these add on boards are?

Any ideas on either of these 2 boards could be, both are fitted to a working Nato 2000.

reply on your first picture; if i recall (from memory in the 80s) that could be an better filter?

The second on vero looks like a logic gate to provide a 10kc shift?

See if the wires go from the veroboard to a switch and to the PLL then its an Alpha channel mod like the chap said above.

It does,the anl switch is wired between the varoboard and the 02A giving a 10kc jump.theres also a crystal on the back of the switch
