I don't think he ever did :) I remember him dissecting the 148 GTL-DX one day . With so many design flaws it's amazing it even turns on :)

RD250 reckoned the Fidelity 1000 was his all-time favourite.

Pssssttt...I'm trying to entice him back on here to say otherwise!

the +/- 5 channel auto scan feature on the 1000 was a true step forward in tech and way ahead of its time

the way you didnt need to even change channel to hear the guy up the road 2 channels away was just amazing
