Anyone know what thos old SJ Tonks board is?

Post by Trickster » 04 Dec 2017, 21:46

I was going through some old CB stuff when I came across this board. Can't remember what it's for though.

Any ideas?

I don't think it's a beep TBH. I don't recall ever buying one.

I'm baffled. The curiosity it killing me though :)

I do not remember ever seeing a board like this one. almost looks like a noise toy of some kind with all the wires on it.

Looks like a beep to me too, especially with the electrolytic over the power to hold it in TX while the noise fires off.

A quick google of the IC and its common applications suggest a tone and/or noise generator of some description.

I think it is a mod for the President Lincoln where you connect it to the channel buttons and it moves the VFO instead of going up a channel. I think there is an extra diode for the talkback removal mod.
