What coax for HF ?
Guys what coax you using on HF ? Looking for around 8 mtrs off RG8 mini. Okay as far losses go on this sort off length and okay for full legal limit power handling ? rg213 is a bit heavy duty on this particular antenna arrangement but would use if necessary.

And full legal is 1500 or.... ?
@28MHZ it would be 0,257dB loss, so no matter.

400 watts... 1500? High power permit, you still get them nowadays?

Re: What coax for HF ?
Depends on country. I can use 1500W legally.
400W is power rg8 can handle. No worry.

Re: What coax for HF ?
Cheers Chris was not too sure but guess especially with it being ssb modes 400w would not be a problem. Not too bad a losses either with quality rg8 mini on this sort off length ?

Re: What coax for HF ?
6 dB is 1s unit, so coax loss mentioned is minimal.
