TYT TH-9800 Microphone Extension cable

Post by minon »

I am currently in the process of mounting my TYT TH-9800 but I am looking to extend the microphone cable so I can run it behind some trim in my car and have it on the opposite side of the head.

Head will be on the pillar to the right of the driver via a brodit mount and I want to have the mic on the left hand side of the gear stick.

Is this a case of using a RJ45 coupler and an Cat 5e or Cat 6 cable or is it a different type of cable.

I can't seem to find out any information regarding doing this or any commerical offerings.

Has anyone done this or even know where and extension cable can be got ?

Cheers

HI
That is the correct plugs but I don't think it has a shield cable, but at that price its worth a try !
Notice not much of a discount though
RRP: £ 9.95
now £9.95 !
