ic-2310

Post by orbieswar »

I have a great old icom ic-2310... Sadly she only covers 2M from 144 to 146. I am lead to believe there is a mod to open this further,
I am looking for this modification.. A copy of English owners manual would be nice aswell.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks in advance Ken...VK2UTC

Not much help, but I'm pretty certain that the EU/US/JP changes were done by jumpers - like those used in computers - so I'd pop the cover off and have a look for less populated, easy to get to sections of the PCB where these things are usually clustered. Icom products of that age (I have an IC-32) could often be widened a bit - but the PLL unlocks if you go too far - My IC-32 will transmit from 143.5 to 160ish, and receives a bit wider - but it runs out of steam much above 450 - my repeater on 453 shows in the display, but doesn't receive.
