Sepura STP8000 Out of band

Post by 70cm_sweden »

Hello,
I have a couple of Sepura STP8000 380-430MHz that I would like to use in the 433MHz band for DMO trafik. Radio Manager 2 has no problem to crate the program batch. But the programming client says ”Error Cust 2” and it stops..The radio is stuck in engineering mode.

Is there any ways to use them in 433MHz?

Hardware code: PSNTW201T300P0001

Unfortunately there is no way to get the Sepura radios out of band. Their band definitions are controlled by the hardware code and SQL database. In theory it is possible to edit the SQL database and change the TW band hardware code from 380-430 to something like 380-435. There are however other checks in place. I have tried this myself to no avail.

And unfortunately Mr 70cm from Abba land only visited us for 4 days, so you are more likely to get a response from Lord Lucan.
