I was clearing out a drawer (after several house moves...) and came across my old DTI Validation Document in a box and wondered what to do with it - sent it off to Ofcom and awaiting a letter telling me I can have my licence back
It expired in 1998, so I was once a G0 (I think I get my old callsign back?), I'm looking around for a cheap / repairable HF transceiver, probably a 2m/70cm mobile rig, and I'm scratching together some ideas for some home-brew kit (I've accumulated a lot of test gear by intercepting it on the way to the World's Best Skip where I work), something to keep me in the warm over winter!
I switched on a cheap Chinese 70cm handie-talkie on the way to work this morning, not a lot to be heard along the M3 on my way to London, have the LW and HR repeaters shut down?
Hope to contribute to the board, thanks for the add
