Pocsag data - unexpected transmission

Post by Ngood94323 »

Hi all. I have been monitoring some pocsag transmission around 153mhz which I am receiving ok but I found some insusal ones I didn’t expect. They are relating to giffgaff the mobile phone operator who I believe use O2. It is as if text messages sent to a mobile are then being sent via pocsag to a pager. Does that sound right? Or can anyone explain? At one point a conversation seemed to be going backwards and forwards.

There are several gateways to allow messages to cross from one system into another...used by telecoms, SAR, delivery companies etc.
"Search engine? How do I find that?"
"Sod it, let someone else do it"
