Looking to buy the 355.
Does anyone use one or have any thoughts on this scanner ?

I use one mobile as they're easy to configure with the built in bands. Cheap as chips and work very well for the money, and with Closecall too.

Unless there is something specific that you want to listen to that you know will be in analogue for the foreseeable future, I wouldn't recommend buying an actual scanner. You can get an SDR for much less money and you can use them as scanners. Also you can easily decode digital modes on them.
