TYT MD380 Alert Tones
me again folks...so i came across a you tube vid of someone amending the alert tones on a hytera PD 785 radio (DMR) now he mentions this can be done on the Motorola's and Tytera? however i cant find anything on the TYT CPS to amend the tone Khz and duration's? its clear this chap has done it on his hytera so any suggestions or is this gonna be a dig deep into the firmware of the MD380 and change the Alerts myself?
anyone?
anyone?

Re: TYT MD380 Alert Tones
i have no idea? when i say tones i mean the PTT TX and RX tones, if i enable all tones i get the motorola "soundalike" on PTT press and also when a call is incoming a beep? but on hytera you can ammend the Khz and save the new tone settings

Re: TYT MD380 Alert Tones
Ok well I found his post on his forum which shows you
maybe I dont have the latest firmware as I cannot find it in the MD380 programming software.
all he is doing is setting a DTMF tone value and duration for custom alerts.

hope that helps

Re: TYT MD380 Alert Tones
It's not setting DTMF tones. It's nothing to do with DTMF. Hytera software lets you set the alert tones in the software by configuring the length of sine waves that are also configurable in frequency. You cannot do this on Motorola or TYT DMR radios. They just haven't got this feature.

Re: TYT MD380 Alert Tones
