Problem With Baofeng UV-82

Hi Guys
Im Trying To Get The Uv 82
Working On My Pc
Im Using Win 10 , And I Keep Getting these Messages
This device cannot start. (Code 10)
And In The Device Manager there is a yellow triangle
on prolific USB-to_Serial Comm Port (com2)
iv changed the com port a couple of times
but with no luck
Any help would be welcome

This is almost certainly a driver problem with the USB-serial converter chip in your programming cable - most of the "Prolific" cables out there are clones which aren't supported by the official drivers.

Have a Google, there are older drivers available which should work, as they don't check if the chip is genuine

As above, you have a Chinese knock off and Windows is installing the latest drivers that won't work with fake chips.

Uninstall the driver and search for driver version 3.2.0.0, it's old, but the only one that will work with the fakes.

Use the same USB slot every time, if you plug it in another one then Windows will again install the latest driver that won't work with your chip.

The Windows flavour is irrelevant, you need to use a 32bit system to use the 3.2.0.0 driver, or run a virtual machine session.

I Wouldnt know how to do that ..im not very computer savvy

My clone cables work fine in Windows 10 64bit. You just need the old driver from here http://www.miklor.com/COM/UV_Drivers.php

Well I Reinstalled My Laptop To Factory Settings Witch Has Windows 8 On It
And The USB Lead Is Working Perfect

I Think That I May Have Plugged Inthe USB Before I Installed The Drivers When It Was Win 10
Thats The Only Reason I Can Think Of ???

Windows Update off (not security updates only for drivers).
Otherwise takes Windows again the newer (false) driver.
Interfaces replicas only work with Prolific driver to version 3.2.0.0
