MD380 battery life ?

Post by WhiteNoisePoetry »

Had one for a week now to play with, battery life seems poor.

Only a day's use or so on RX.

That's a bit crap to me.

Anyone else noticed, or have a I got a dud ?

Mine lasts about a week on RX and can get into two days on TX depending on how much transmitting I do !

Sounds like a duff battery (Ever heard of charging it ?)

The capacity of the battery is quite small, and power output reasonable - the two add up to pretty much what you get.

Gentlemen,

I get about 4 days RX only on a reasonably quiet FX. I get about 2 days RX and TX when used in the normal 90/5/5 scenario, high-power setting. Don't forget that the batts may need to be "worked" a bit, similar to NiCD or NiMH before they reach their full capacity.

Is it a new unit? The batteries need to go through a few charging cycles before full capacity is achieved.
