Using Chirp to program CTCSS codes into Baofeng BF888s on PMR446

Post by jimster99 »

Hello - please can someone tell me what setting to use in Chirp to program the same CTCSS code into my Baofeng BF888s for both transmit and receive?

I have tried in the "Tone Mode" setting putting "Tone", "Cross" and "TSQL" but none of these seem to work. The "Cross" setting uploads fine but is then rejected by the phone and changed to "TSQL" setting.

Thanks!

I have figured it out - the correct answer is to use "TSQL" and then the radio uses the same CTCSS code for both transmit and receive. Sorted!
