Re: where have all the pmr users gone
I am down in cardiff with an Intek 5050 and would gladly leave it on to listen out. Pick a chan and I'll set to it.

Re: where have all the pmr users gone
Theres still a few of in this household using 446 on a regular basis. On weekends I transmit the traffic from the yupiteru 7300 on channel 1 with a Wouxun kG669 on 1 watt and a comet antenna, transmissions can be heard from all sides of the caerphilly basin when entering the area - keep a listen out for it.

Re: where have all the pmr users gone
Hi Alannah thanx for that will shout out on chn 8 next time i'm in your area ,since i posted this topic i have had a copy with 2 pmr'ers in Mountain Ash when i was driving over that way hadnt copied them since last summer when i used to walk the dog on high ground above my qth .I heard some activity over in Bargoed on Wed about 3.30 pm they were on about emptying bins they must be a firm of something in that area i think they were a fixed station and too late in day for local council chn 1 i think ,so it's nice to know that pmr is still used around the valleys.....73 jp88

Re: where have all the pmr users gone
If you're interested we're about to start foundation and intermediate licence courses at the Rondda club in Tonypandy. Just confirming numbers for each course and start dates at the moment.

Re: where have all the pmr users gone
We meet up at St Barnabus Church hall Tuesdays @ 7 - 7:30. It's near the comprehensive school, just off the bypass.
We're hoping to start soon, we are probably a little less formal than most and try to run the courses around the student rather than force people into our timetable.
We've got a piece in the Rhondda leader with a photo of the club members from 1923!

Re: where have all the pmr users gone
Looks like we have 3 interested in the foundation and 3 interested in the intermediate, so hopefully we can get the ball rolling in earnest!

Re: where have all the pmr users gone
The more the merrier! We'll probably start making a start next week. We'll try to "ease" everyone into it and avoid the "first day of term" stress! I'm sure anyone would be able catch the first few weeks if they can't make it "on-time"
