Sorry for slow reply...
I started a new job a few months ago, and with the hot weather etc, any bench work has taken a back seat.
The new job includes doing design work with Microchip PIC, so I'm back working with MPLAB X in the day job. The amplifier project is still in the pipeline, and will use a Microchip PIC for control, so I'm getting a 'free' knowledge update on part of it.

OK, display type changed from OLED to a larger colour TFT.
The big plan again is bomb and dummy proof 100W in for 1500W pep out using two 1500W or 1800W LDMOS devices thereby introducing tons of headroom for reliability and seriously low IMD numbers. You'll have the cleanest signal on the block rather than collecting the 'Worked all Neighbors" award from over driving that 600W amplifier while trying to get 1kW out of it!
Click on the image then click on it again for high res.

Re: New QRO mobile HF/VHF Linear Amplifier
Added a missing band, an additional display reading and rearranged the alarm lights.
Now designing the under-dash remote head unit.
Then, the all important electronics.

Under dash remote head unit;
Once I pin down the heat sink profile I can introduce internal fixings and get a couple of chassis made.
